Over time, even with proper maintenance and care, the accuracy of any loadcell tends to diminish and become unstable. This happens for a number of reasons, but the most common of these is simple wear and tear on the inner working of the loadcell from general use. All loadcells should be calibrated annually to ensure that they are working correctly and providing accurate readings.
Here at our workshop in the West Midlands, our testing and calibration equipment is UKAS traceable and can be used to calibrate any type of loadcell including crane scales, tensile loadlinks up to 200 tonnes, and compression loadcells up to 300 tonnes. With many years experience, our technicians can calibrate, reset and repair most makes and models.

On those occasions when it is not possible to calibrate a loadcell, it will need to be repaired or replaced.
- We have highly experienced in-house repair engineers, working in our dedicated facility, who specialise in this operation and are comfortable with working on every type of loadcell from the majority of manufacturers.
- When a loadcell is in need of repair, we will always endeavour to contact the owner, to explain the problem in plain, straightforward English and to fully describe the options available for repair.
- Once the work is approved, we will always complete it as rapidly and cost effectively as possible.
